It is a real thing!

"Pashmina"- refers to a type of cashmere wool, usually made into shawls. So I bought my sister a pashmina for her birthday. Well to my surprise, no one knew in my family knew or had ever heard of them before. (well except for one) So my whole family ran around laughing at "pashmina." (not at me) I know, it sounds exotic, but it's not. More trendy than anything. So here's to all in my family that believed that I made up the word...or something like that. It is a real thing and real people wear it. Evidence within my photos. Jessica Alba seems to have one in every color. And if something is good enough for Jessica Alba, it's good enough for me. (i know my husband is not the only one out there that thinks she is madly hot) And Keri Russell, who happens to be a favortie actress of mine adorns one also. Remember Felicity? So you can all stop making fun of me and start enjoying your pashminas.

Look who's turning 30!

Today there must go a little shout out to my beautiful, wonderful, and most amazing older sister Erin... For today she turned 30! And I thought 25 was bad... Ha. Just kidding sis! I just wanted to let you and everyone else know how grateful I am to have a big sister like you. I hope that 30 is just as awesome as 29! You are the best older sister a girl can have. You have always been the best example of a daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, and aunt anyone could possibly have. We have so many memories. Only you will get most of these. But I hope they will make you laugh. One for every year that you are....

The big 25!

The beautiful flowers from Zac.

Me and my wonderful husband.

The presentation of the new bowling trophy...

So I official hit a big milestone birthday, the big 25! Well for me it seems like a milestone. It is a quarter of a century. My grandpa had to remind me that it better than 80% of a century. True, true pop, but I have never experienced 25 and for some reason it sounds so much older than 24. I had a great four day celebration. Zac brought me home flowers and took me to dinner Friday night. Saturday I got to spend the day with Jamie shopping and going to lunch. I forgot how much I miss shopping with her. She always talks me into buying fabulous things. Saturday night was the annual JCS (jordan crapo smith) bowling invitational. This year my mother made a trophy for the winner to take home and display in their home all year-long. This made for great competition. My uncle Mo took home the grand-prize, with a high score of 169 barely beating out Zac. Sunday Zac's parents came to dinner at my folks house and we continued to celebrate my birth. Then the party continued when Sara took me shopping today and bought me some much awaited stirrup tights I have been wanting. Yes stirrup... It's only a matter of time till stone-washed jeans are back in style. After days of endless celebration on my behalf I decided that twenty-five isn't so bad. Twenty-five, married to a wonderful guy, no kids (not yet), fun family and friends, and working towards a career that will be rewarding, seems not so bad after all. I realized that I do still have a lot of living left to do. Especially since there are a lot more shoes out there that need to be bought...

Tribute to my dear Bub!

This past week has been a difficult week for me and my family. My dear grandmother Maxine, aka "Bub" to her twenty-six grandchildren, passed away last Sunday night. Bub was the most compassionate and self-less person I have ever met. She always had a way of making all her family feel so important. My grandmother's life was dedicated to helping those around her and she spent all her time making sure that everyone else was happy and comfortable. I am so thankful to be part of such an amazing family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins that all care about each other so much. She sure did leave behind a great legacy. One thing that is so special to all of my family is the hand-made handkerchiefs that Bub made for all of us. I have one that she made me for my baptism, birthdays, and one when I got married. They are priceless pieces of her that I will cherish forever. I am so thankful for everyone who has been there and supported my family. I am so grateful for the knowledge of eternal families. I know that she is up there watching over me and caring for me just as much as she did when she was here. I love you Bub!

Farewell to 2007!

I just realized jamie and trent are both holding up a coaster from Red Rock in their forks.... Weird.

We said goodbye to 2007 and rang in the New Year with our best pals. We are glad that jamie and trent were here over the holidays. We finally got to meet cute little Lucy. I think me and Sara might steal her. We went to dinner and then went back to Zac's parents and rang in the new year in the hot-tub watching all the fireworks across the valley. It was amazing! 2007 was a great year for our family. We are looking forward to a great '08. Happy New Year!!!!!!
