Practically Tiger Woods!

His name on the scoreboard. His score is highlighted cause it was so good.
So the idea of walking 18 holes of golf in the hot sun, with hardly any shade, not knowing what the heck's going on, isn't exactly my idea of a fun day. But I was wrong. Yesterday my brother Luke played in the Utah State Amateur Golf tournament up in Park City. I decided since I have never seen him play (it isn't exactly the friendliest spectator sport), and it was kind of a big deal, that I would go. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had. He is really a good golfer. He was one of about twenty other young players there playing against the best of the best golfers in Utah. The day we went and watched him he shot even par (which I learned is really, really good.) I was so proud of him. Way to go lil bro. And to think if you are this good now, just give yourself a couple more years. When you are rich and famous, remember your supportive sister!

Oh say can you see!!!

Chillin at the parade!Lil Berkie

Zac & Addie sharing a Otterpop!

Today we celebrated our country's independence with a good old breakfast, parade, BBQ, and fireworks with family. I can't honestly say that the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. I usually have to work. So I was mostly just excited that I had the whole day off. I guess being a history nerd like I am and knowing some of the un-talked about and not very pleasant things about our nation's history. (If you ever want a good read, try "Lies my teacher told me") I can't honestly always say that I am proud to be an American. Sometimes I am. But I am thankful that I live in the most tolerant and prosperous country in all civilization. I have never had to personally know war or know what it's like to not have my freedom. So here's to you America. Even somewhat cynics like me can be proud of what you try to stand for. God Bless America!!!

Go Speed Racer!

Check out the awesome view. Totally worth all the pain going up the mountain!

If he could marry his bike... I think he would!

So ever since Zac got his new mountain bike that is all he has wanted to do. I am being a very good wife and joining in on his new found love. This weekend we went and did a trail up by the new temple in Draper. The view at the top was gorgeous. The fun part was coming down and trying not to run into every big rock and tree jutting out on the trail.

Who am I sir, a Utah man am I !!!!!

Yeah... after, let's count, I believe seven years. I have finally graduated. The best part is that my husband also did. Zac graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and is applying to physical therapy school this year. I graduated with a Social Science Composite degree and am going on to get my teaching license so I can someday teach history or geography. So in reality neither of us are done. But it still feels good to hit this milestone.

Fun in the sun, haircuts, pedicures, fro-yo, and Route 44's!

Enjoying some frozen yogurt from Golden Spoon!

Eating at the Pizza Factory with friends from George.

Our husband's after a long day of biking. Check out their awesome glove tans!

Getting Pedicures!

Crazy Eddy tickling Sara's feet. Ha Ha.

This weekend we took a much needed vacation to good old St. George. Me and Sara did some self-pampering the entire weekend while the boys did some mountain biking. We also rang in Sara's b-day on Saturday. Happy Birthday Sara! It was truly amazing. Shopping, hair-cuts, pedi's, and multiple trips to sonic, dinner and a movie. What more could you ask for! Here are some pics from the weekend!

The End!

(Zac thought it would be fun to take a picture of me and my books in my moment of distress. I don't know how I mustered the smile. )

I wasn't trying to evoke sympathy from my last post, although it was greatly appreciated. But it did get worse. Still not trying for the sympathy. The fantastic week of all gone wrong, escalated into a full blown hurricane. Remember the paper, the huge senior thesis, that was almost lost from the broken computer... Yeah that one. Well I was so thankful that I had saved it to my jump drive. Well.. who had to go step on her jump drive three days before her paper was do. Oh yes the answer is a resounding... Me!! So after crying to the man at PC laptops begging him to salvage what was left on my usb (which didn't happen), I borrowed my brother-in-law's lap-top (thanks Scott) and set out on the daunting task of completely reconstructing the whole second half of my paper, footnotes at all. Completely horrible. But I am here to announce that 18 books from the library, 12 journal articles, 25 pages, 83 footnotes, well over 100 hours of reading and writing, and a re-do of the whole second half, the paper is done and turned in... Now I am an official Graduate of the University of Utah. It didn't come without it's woes. But I survived. Anyways... Back to a happy note. Now I am free to blog and I have to catch up on some things and people I need to mention.

Shout out to my cutest little nephew Caleb, who celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago. Love you my little "noodle" Boy.
Oh and... way to go mom on "Deal or No Deal." This is my mom, and her supporters at a tape audition for deal or no deal. She did a great job. We are so proud of you mom and know that if you ever get on the show, we would tell you to go for the million!

When it rains, it pours!

I guess when one bad thing happens, it turns into a domino effect. This week has been a crazy one for me and Zac. Well the past couple weeks have. Trying to get through our last couple weeks of school till we graduate (Yeah) and just trying to endure all that life throws at you. We were watching t.v. the other night and our t.v. had a serious breakdown. It didn't just break and shut-off like normal television's do when they die. It had to leave it's mark as it left this world and let out this shrieking cry that sounded like a dying wounded animal. And with that we have no t.v. Funny how it died during the first new episode of Gossip Girl, maybe it was more of a sign than anything else to stop watching trashy t.v. shows. And no American Idol. Tragic. Then as I was working on my huge paper (you all know the one that has zapped all my time, even leaving me with nothing to blog about) our laptop decided that it would break also. How wonderful. Thank goodness for jump drives that I had luckily just saved my paper too. So now we are left with no t.v. and no lap-top. I realize that I don 't want to sound like a snob or an ungrateful brat but I guess I never realized how much we rely on those type of luxuries. Which has left a lot of time for me and Zac to study, and to actually have conversations with each other. So now here we are. We need a new t.v. and a new hard drive for our laptop neither of which is cheap. Oh well. I guess the government really knew what they were doing when they decided they needed to "stimulate the economy." Me and Zac will contribute by buying a new t.v.

Make a Wish!

March is the month of birthday celebrations. My mother, Zac, Addie & Berkley, and my bro-in-law all celebrated their birthdays this month. Zac turned 25! Join the club hon! Addison and Berkley celebrated their 1st birthday, which is way more exciting than your 25th. Especially since it's the first time you enjoy sugar! Zac spent his birthday studying all day long... Then our friends came over later to have some cake and ice-cream. Happy belated birthday blog shout out!

I've Been Tagged!

Because I know you are all sick of looking at Tony Danza. I decided I would respond to being tagged... I do have some posts coming. Just haven't found the time to do them. This research paper is killing me.

What were you doing 10 years ago?

Being, awkward, clumsy, tall, gangly and fifteen.
Obviously not practicing my driving skills. Still haven’t figured it out.
Surviving being a teenager
Not worrying about much of anything except for hanging out with my friends.
Playing soccer for Dear old Davis High School.

5 things on my to-do list today:

Work on my hideous research paper, more like dissertation. At least that is how it is feeling at this point. Actually I am taking a break to do this.
Put my five Easter decorations away.
Clean my kitchen.
Make dinner before Zac gets home
Watch American idol

My favorite treats:

Anything chocolate, hell anything with sugar
Diet coke, with vanilla, Route 44 from Sonic
Strawberry Cream Slush- also from Sonic, reminds me of my grandma Famps homemade ice-cream.
Lately Ice-Cream Sandwich’s
Home-made sugar cookies.

3 bad habits (or things I would change about myself):

1. I let out my frustrations about life on my sweet husband Zac who doesn’t deserve it. One time I think I cried and yelled because he told me we didn’t have any milk… It was just a bad day.
2. I still bite my nails, especially when I am nervous, or bored.
3. I tail people really bad when I am driving…

If I were suddenly a billionaire, I would...

Take all my friends and family on a cruise. Because my favorite part of life is hanging out with those I love. Especially all the cute babies around me lately… I would also buy me and Zac a house. I would also buy my sister a house because she already wants to move because she doesn’t want to live by a hospital. I would fly me, my mom, my sisters, my two cousins (who are like sisters), my aunt and my grandmother to New York for a week to see all the Broadway shows we could handle and spend all the billions I had. I would also take a year off work and school to go to all the historic places in Europe, especially Rome and places in Greece. Remember I am a history nerd!

Places I love to go

To my mom’s
Anywhere with Zac
Skiing at Snowbird with the in-laws
Newport Beach

Some Jobs I've had...

Judge of Poetry Contest
Cashier at Sam’s Club
Secretary at Dan Jones & Associates
Manager at Pier One Imports
Someday… finally sooner than later. I will be a teacher.

5 things most people don't know about me...

1. I sucked my thumb at night till I was probably twelve… Ha
2. I am a nerd when it comes to history. I like watching good historical documentaries.
3. I love to cook… I may not be very good at it. Not yet. But I really like trying out new recipes. I watch those lame cooking shows on PBS.
4. When I sing Kelly Clarkson in the shower… It sounds really good.
5. I think everyone knows most things about me. I am quite an open book.

5 people I would like to tag are

Everyone and Anyone I am related to… You know who you are!
