New York! New York!

We just recently got back from our vacation in New York City. It was such a great vacation. We went there with Zac's family to celebrate his grandma's 80th birthday. I love spending time with his family. We always have so much fun together. We got to do all the typical tourist things. We went to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and the World Trade Center Memorial. We got to go to a Yankee's game, watch a Jazz game at the ESPN Zone in Time Square. We also went and saw the Broadway musical "Wicked." It was fantastic. I got to shop in some of the most amazing stores I have ever seen. A girl's dream!! We spent a few days in New York and then took the train up to Zac's uncle's house in Connecticut. It was so fun to spend time there with them. It is gorgeous up there. We had a lot of fun in New York and I hope that I get to go there again.

Meet Us!

Zac and I met about two years ago on a blind date. My best friend Jamie wanted to set me up with her husband's, (fiancĂ©e at the time) friend. So we both agreed, although I think neither one of us wanted to go. The rest was history and me and Zac got married a year later. We have been married for a little over a year. We just spent our first anniversary in New York City. (Good anniversary gift huh?) We are both currently students at the University of Utah. Zac is studying physical therapy and hopes to start graduate school next fall. I am working on becoming a teacher one day. I want to one day be a history or geography teacher. I feel like I have been in school forever, which I have. A lot of people go to school for ten years, right? They're called doctors! Zac is working for the University Health care system as a physical therapy assistant and I am still slaving my life away at Pier One, bringing home as much home decor as I can milk out of the place. I actually love my job, love the people I work with, and love the discount I get. Me and Zac have a lot of fun doing things together. I knew when I married Zac that life would always be an adventure. We are always laughing with each other, and at each other. It is the key to our marriage so far. Zac and his family are avid skiers and snowboarders and are trying to take me under their wing. "It's just part of being in the family," they tell me. I am not that good quite yet but I can now successfully go down the whole mountain without falling and am finally starting to get carving down. A giant feat for me! We love spending time with our family and friends, especially our three cute nieces and nephew. Isn’t being an aunt or uncle great? That’s our family in a nutshell! Hopefully I will have more time to keep up on my blogging!
