Christmas!!

Getting ready to hit the slopes!

Feeling the Christmas spirit at work..... NOT!

Hangin out Christmas morning... All wearing our new hats!

Sweater Party with Friends

Well it's been awhile since I have posted, but just like everyone else my life has been crazy. I always look forward to December being over. I survived yet another shopping season at Pier One. I vow that this will be my last Christmas in retail. I really can't do it anymore because I begin to feel like the scrooge of Christmas who just wants it to all be over. Besides work, we did have a great Christmas. We spent some time up at Snowbird, skiing the slopes and enjoying time together as a family. Here are a few pictures of some of the things we did over the holidays. We are thankful that we could spend the holidays with our friends and family. That's what Christmas really is all about..

Ben & Taisha!

Last weekend Ben & Taisha finally got married. I promised some (well Jamie) that I would post the pics that I had. There isn't a lot... I failed at my assignment. Well we are finally glad that they can join the ranks of us "lame" married folk. Congrats you two!

Lunch with Friends!

Recently I went to lunch with some friends from the past. We all played soccer together for...well since we were all really little. Now we are all married, and have kids (not me.) It was fun to see everyone. I found this hilarious picture of the five of us getting ready to play in the Power Puff game our senior year. Ha...

I'm a Barbie girl, In a Barbie world...

All the girls...

Venus Williams and Roger Federer

Come on Barbie, Let's go Party!

We got invited to a Halloween Party by the Whitney and the Crockett couples last night. Here are our amazing costumes. We were barbie and ken. Don't mistake me for one of Hugh Hefner's playboy bunny girlfriends, cause I know I looked like one. Not the most cleaver idea...until you see our boxes. We had a lot of fun last night. We played some games, danced, and laughed at each other (Well actually just Sara because some girl really thought she was black. She was Venus Williams, aka Wimbeldon Tennis Champ.) We had a lot of fun. Thanks for inviting us! Oh yeah and the plaid pants that Zac's wearing, they're mine.. Sniff, Sniff. He looks better in them than I do.

Pumpkins!!!

This weekend we had a pumpkin carving party at Chris & Sara's. Well not really a planned party. No one could come up with any ideas of something to do and we were bored and it was cold outside. So we decided to carve pumpkin. I love Halloween. Just wait till you see our Halloween costumes...

Island Park!

Last weekend over fall break we headed to Island Park to stay in my sister and brother-in-laws cabin. It was a much needed break for both of us from work and school. I am gearing myself up for yet another Christmas season and Zac is right in the thick of applying to graduate school. We got to enjoy just relaxing, which I think neither of us really knows how to do anymore.

All you need is love..

So i feel like I might be going out on a limb recommending this movie. But I must say it was one of the most fascinating, and interesting movies that I have seen in a long time. You will either love it, or you will hate. The movie is based in the sixties following the life of a young man Jude and his experience of moving to America. It is a musical. Yes a musical, and all the songs that they sing are from the Beatles. It's really amazing. Those who know me know that I am a history geek, especially when it comes to the 60's. It's my favorite period in time to study. So if you are willing to sit through singing and enduring a few really weird scenes where the actors are on LSD and you are experiencing their hallucinations with them, You might actually like this movie. It's a good love story for the girls and has some action scences from the Vietnam war for the guys. Zac actually really liked it to. If for no other reason go see it because by the end of the movie you will fall in love with the main actor Jude. His British accent is totally sexy!

Why I win the contest!

Why do I win the contest for worst blogger. Because I don't have the Internet at home. Will someone please talk Zac into the importance of being linked to the outside world? I haven't looked at my blog or anyone else's for over a week and I already feel left-out like when no one would play hop-scotch with you in kindergarten. The only time I blog is when I feel like I have a picture to show and who wants to see boring pictures of me and zac. I don't have a dog with a cute pink collar or a hoodie, and I am not having a baby (although after crying three times this week over stupid things I am beginning to feel like I might be), to show off all the cute and exciting ideas about. I don't scrapbook. I can't even post pictures of my condo to prove that I don't live with my in-laws. Oh what a sad life. I read "twilight, new moon, and eclipse" just like everyone else. I had an affair with Edward in my dreams. Even more sad. I still work in retail, where I continue to muster up more hatred for Christmas every year. I must get out before I have kids so at least they will enjoy it. I am still in school, after what... six years or something. Wow I could go on... Anyways the whole point to this is that I apologize. No wonder my links list hasn't grown. I am boring. And all I can seem to think of lately is what am I going to be for Halloween... Any ideas would be well appreciated!

I got my blue jeans on...

Keith jamming on his guitar! Cher, Mary, & Cat

Mom and the sisters...

Us in fifty years...

This past week for my mom's birthday we all went to the Keith Urban concert. WE all love Keith, especially my mother. It was so much fun. We had a blast dancing, singing, and screaming... Now I truly know where I get my craziness from... My mom was all over the place. We had a blast. The last pictures is of these four cute little old ladies that were on the same row as us. Hillarious. They were jamming to Keith just as much as we were. We had to take a pictures because we know that this will be us in fifty years.

Snowbird!

This weekend we went up to the condo with some friends. We had a lot of fun just hanging out. We finally got to meet Ben's new wife to be, Teija. She is so cute. Congrats to you two. We had a crazy night filled with the most intense game of Catch Phrase ever. I have never seen Chris so competative.

How sweet it is...

Addison & Berkley in their Aunt Jemima/Ja Rule Headbands! Olivia & her new little brother Caleb!

It's time that I show you some pictures of some of my favorite people in the whole world. My three adorable nieces and super cute nephew. I decided that I think that being an aunt is the best thing in the entire world. I love that every time I see Olivia she wants me to paint her nails, and now I am the only one who is allowed to do it. I am sure that my sister doesn't appreciate the fact that she is always wearing one of the four pairs of princess pumps that I bought her for Christmas. You can always hear her clicking around in the grocery store, or even at church. Addison and Berkely are definitely a pair. Even though sometimes it is so hard to tell them apart they are already starting to have their own little personalities. Addison squawks like a peacock and we always joke with Berkley telling her that "she doesn't always have to be eating to have a good time."

leaving on a jet plane!

At the MTC.

A couple weeks ago we dropped off Zac's lil brother Mike to the MTC. Mike was called to serve his mission in Atlanta, Georgia. What an amazing experience to watch this young man transform into such an amazing person. We are definitely going to miss him the next two years. He has been in Atlanta for about a week now. He is loving it so far. He says that the people there are all so friendly. He says he is the only white guy there and he thinks his mission president is the "coolest guy I have ever met." So I guess all that means he is doing good. We will keep you posted on his progress and let you know how he is doing. When the time comes closer for him to come home I will start taking offers from eligible young woman who want to date this total hot stud when he gets home.

Farewell Baby Bash!

We had a baby shower for Jamie at my mom's house recently. I still think I laugh when I think about one of us actually having a kid. I am so excited for her. She is having a baby girl and is going to name her Lucy. The shower was bittersweet because it was also Jamie's last weekend in Utah. Her and Trent are off to Ohio to start medical school. I still think that reality hasn't set in that they are actually going to be gone. All the girls from junior high were there. It so great that we all still keep in contact. We have been through much together. Our awkward gawky stages, our teen years, many boyfriends, junior high and high school, and now husbands and kids. I must admit though that there were too many babies there and it gave me a little bit of anxiety. It was so much fun to spend time together and to say goodbye to Jamie before she left. I promised her that we would plan the annual Hideous Christmas Sweater Party while they are here for Christmas. We love you J, we will miss you a lot!

The Family

Here's some pictures for our vacation to Lake Powell. It was a blast. Luckily we have an amazing photographer in the family (Tim) who can capture it all. We spent all week just having fun in the water, eating like pigs, and having mad nertz wars. I learned how to wakeboard. I was so proud of myself. I came home with only minor bumps and bruises. One cut on one leg from running into the anchor and and big bruise on the other. We had so much fun spending all that time with our family. Hopefully Lee won't get rid of the boat. At least until after next year...

Worst Blogger Ever!

I officially win the award for worst blogger ever because I have not updated my blog in two months. I check everyone else's. My cord to my camera has been locked and packed away in Chris and Sara's garage for a couple months. But I am happy to announce. Tada... We have moved into our condo finally. I still haven't found the cord, but as soon as I do I will bring you some pictures.

New York! New York!

We just recently got back from our vacation in New York City. It was such a great vacation. We went there with Zac's family to celebrate his grandma's 80th birthday. I love spending time with his family. We always have so much fun together. We got to do all the typical tourist things. We went to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, and the World Trade Center Memorial. We got to go to a Yankee's game, watch a Jazz game at the ESPN Zone in Time Square. We also went and saw the Broadway musical "Wicked." It was fantastic. I got to shop in some of the most amazing stores I have ever seen. A girl's dream!! We spent a few days in New York and then took the train up to Zac's uncle's house in Connecticut. It was so fun to spend time there with them. It is gorgeous up there. We had a lot of fun in New York and I hope that I get to go there again.

Meet Us!

Zac and I met about two years ago on a blind date. My best friend Jamie wanted to set me up with her husband's, (fiancĂ©e at the time) friend. So we both agreed, although I think neither one of us wanted to go. The rest was history and me and Zac got married a year later. We have been married for a little over a year. We just spent our first anniversary in New York City. (Good anniversary gift huh?) We are both currently students at the University of Utah. Zac is studying physical therapy and hopes to start graduate school next fall. I am working on becoming a teacher one day. I want to one day be a history or geography teacher. I feel like I have been in school forever, which I have. A lot of people go to school for ten years, right? They're called doctors! Zac is working for the University Health care system as a physical therapy assistant and I am still slaving my life away at Pier One, bringing home as much home decor as I can milk out of the place. I actually love my job, love the people I work with, and love the discount I get. Me and Zac have a lot of fun doing things together. I knew when I married Zac that life would always be an adventure. We are always laughing with each other, and at each other. It is the key to our marriage so far. Zac and his family are avid skiers and snowboarders and are trying to take me under their wing. "It's just part of being in the family," they tell me. I am not that good quite yet but I can now successfully go down the whole mountain without falling and am finally starting to get carving down. A giant feat for me! We love spending time with our family and friends, especially our three cute nieces and nephew. Isn’t being an aunt or uncle great? That’s our family in a nutshell! Hopefully I will have more time to keep up on my blogging!
